The Best Hard Rock and Metal Songs to Have Sex To

The Best Hard Rock and Metal Songs to Have Sex To

Sex is a natural way to boost immunity and get a great workout.  It also eases stress and lessens pain.  Sex can also lower your blood pressure and counts as exercise.

When you think about having sex with your partner, you probably have an internal soundtrack playing in your mind.  Why not put on some sexy music on to get you into the mood?  Some of us have R & B songs that are staples for the bedroom.  Or the old favorite of “Sadness Part 1” by Enigma.  Being a fan of hard rock and metal, sometimes you want a playlist that has more edge, a heavier bass, harder drums, and screaming guitar riffs.

I went on the search for a great sex hard rock or metal playlist and found a lot of the metal music out is about breaking up and not necessarily making up.  The suggestions were everything from “Crazy B!tch” by Buckcherry to “I C*m Blood” by Cannibal Corpse.  I do not get into the mood to have sex when someone calls me a “Crazy B!tch”.  There are very few women out there who get turned on by it.  Visualizing the latter song does not make me especially excited either.  Since approximately half of the partners are women, there should be songs that are equally pleasing to women.

At first listen, some songs do seem to be good choices like “Fever” by Bullet For My Valentine.  However when we listen to the lyrics, it is clearly about a woman in a strip club.  That is fine if your partner is a stripper but not for your elementary school teacher wife or girlfriend.  Although, it might be appropriate on your role-playing nights!  Especially if you are the person with a pole in your house.

Most of the hard rock songs are pretty literal.  A few are a bit more subtle.  I would like to say these songs have been thoroughly researched (wink, wink) but alas, they have not.  You can do the research yourself and report back on which songs are the best.  The songs run the gamut of styles of rock and metal.  They expound on alcohol fueled one night stands and also real love making.  I chose both up tempo and slow songs for the different stages of your sex session. So start the playlist and let the fun begin.

13.  Beautiful by HIM

HIM is rock band from Helsinki, Finland and the majority of their songs are perfect for lovemaking.  This song has a sweet and slow tempo.  “Just one look in your eyes, One look and I’m crying, ‘Cause you’re so beautiful”.

12. Up All Night by Hinder

Up All Night is definitely about one night stands and expands on several different scenarios usually fueled by alcohol.  Hinder is a hard rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

11.  S.E.X. by Nickelback

The song is very literal and talks about what each letter stands for, “S is for the simple need”.  There is no guessing what is on the mind of Chad Kroeger in this songs.  “Sex is the answer, it’s never a question”.   Well, okay, if you say so.

10.   Bring Me To Life by Evanescence

Evanescence is a hard rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The meanings of this song are debatable.  The song has a good tempo and lyrics are appropriate for having sex.  The lyrics were inspired by the singer’s, Amy Lee’s, husband.

9.   Blame It On The Boom Boom by Black Stone Cherry

Blame It On The Boom Boom is a fun song that is full of both innuendo and literal statements about the “boom boom”.  Black Stone Cherry is a rock band from Kentucky.  You can interpret from the lyrics that they like sex in many different locations.

8.   Adrenalize Me by In This Moment

In This Moment is fronted by one of the hottest women in metal, Maria Brink.  The rest of the band is talented and their latest album Blood has hit after hit.  In this song, Maria asks for someone to “adrenalize me”.  The video is scandalous as well with references to an orgy in parts of it.

7.  Topless by Breaking Benjamin

“Topless” is a haunting song about almost begging the woman to like the guy in the song.  It seems as though, it is a story about a stripper and a guy who cannot stop himself from wanting her.  The song does have a sexy beat and is mesmerizing.

6.  Addicted by Saving Abel

If there was ever a song that gives you a visual about what is going on in the bedroom, it is this song.  Saving Abel has changed their lineup in the last year by adding a new singer, Scott Austin, after the departure of former singer and founding member of the band, Jared Weeks.  Weeks had toured with Hinder as their singer and is now working on a solo project.

5. Dirty Work by Halestorm

Halestorm is a Grammy award winning rock band formed of siblings, Lzzy and Arejay Hale, along with Joe Hottinger and Josh Smith.  They are from Red Lion, Pennsylvania.  The innuendo abounds in this song.  I like it because it puts the man in the role of the one to do the work.

4. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica

When this song was released in 1992, it was a considered their only love song.  It is slow and sweet.  It has been used a wedding song for many metalheads.  James Hetfield wrote the song for his girlfriend.  The song is great for cuddling post-coitus.

3. Sex Type Thing by Stone Temple Pilots

Sex Type Thing was released in 1992 by Stone Temple Pilots.  Even though Scott Weiland’s intentions were not just a song about sex.  Song meanings can be reinterpreted over the years.  We are now post Fifty Shades of Grey so control and sex have definitely different connotations than they did over twenty years ago.  This track did really bring out Stone Temple Pilots as a major player in the Grunge scene of the 1990’s.

2.  Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love by Van Halen

One of the best and most recognizable riffs in rock is contained in this track.  There is no doubt that they are not talking about love.  This song may not be the most romantic but definitely a true contender for listening to when having sex.

1. Closer by Nine Inch Nails

The best track on my list is Closer by Nine Inch Nails.  Another song whose original meaning was misinterpreted by the masses.  The video was truly transformative of what was acceptable and making macabre popular.  This song was released at a time when vampires were making a comeback into popular culture.  Anne Rice’s Interview With The Vampire was made into a movie staring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise together.  These characters are far removed from some of the sanitized vampires of today.  The video for Closer made us sit up, look and say “that Trent Reznor is one f*cked up guy”!  You can watch the video here.  Please be forewarned, it is not edited.

Songs that almost made the list were “Control” by Puddle of Mudd and  “Let’s F*ck” by Dope.  What songs do you like that should have made the list?
